Editions

Three editions are available. Pre-orders of each edition included the bonuses listed below. The pre-order period has ended.

The three editions differ in content as well as price, and the difference is a vehicle roster rather than a feature. A campaign scenario can assume a vehicle you only get in the larger edition, so buying the base game is not a smaller version of the same experience - it is a different one. Checking what a scenario needs before you buy is cheaper than finding out afterwards.

The upgrade path matters if you already own something. Upgrading from the base game to Deluxe is not the same transaction as buying Deluxe new, and the price of the second is not simply the difference between the two list prices. Compare editions before assuming you have to repurchase.

For the per-platform breakdown of what each edition includes, see Which edition. For where each one is sold, see Platforms.

It is also worth checking whether a given edition's extras are digital or physical, because that determines whether they are tied to the platform you bought on. An extra that ships as a download is available on that store's version of the game and not necessarily on the others, so the same edition name can cover different content depending on where it was bought.

If you are still deciding, the practical order is: work out which edition contains the campaign you want, check whether the console version you own needs a different purchase than the PC one, and only then compare prices. Comparing the three prices first tends to lead to a purchase that does not include what you needed.
